Devlog 04 - Tech Discussion (AI)
HEY-O!
Welcome to my first devlog about AI. I'm Steven, I will be focusing on the AI in the game.
The base enemies (the toy robots) will use steering behaviors and Finite State Machines to walk around the world and change states depending if the robot is wandering around, investigating when the robot hears something, and when the player is in sight of the robot. In the coming weeks I will be testing the robots to make sure everything works out smoothly.
The boss (the dragon) will also use FSMs to attack the player, the states include when the dragon is suspicious of the where the player is, and when the dragon is using its attacks, a ranged attack and a melee attack.
